This 40’ box car with single door is blue wtth yellow lettering and runs on Bettendorf trucks. Built in 1947 for the Tennessee, Alabama & Georgia shortline, this 40’ box car had a 100,000 pound capacity. Known as the “TAG Route,” the railway was founded in 1911 and ran from Chattanooga, Tennessee, through Georgia, and into Gadsden, Alabama, transporting steel products. It was purchased by Southern Railway in 1971.
