Built in February of 1938, these H-9 Class, 33’ two-bay coal hoppers with Bettendorf trucks were re-painted and relettered in 1963 by Norfolk & Western. Norfolk & Western was known as the “King Coal” line, and was a Class 1 railroad headquartered in Roanoke, Virginia. Today, it is now part of the Norfolk Southern system following a 1980 merger with Southern Railway.Related Items
