Athearn Genesis HO Scale: 77' Pullman Standard Chair Car - Southern Pacific 'General Service'
Southern Pacific Chair car classes 77-C-1 and 77-C-3 were constructed in 1937 by Pullman Standard. The cars were originally painted red, orange, and black, and assigned to the Coast Daylight. Later, the cars were repainted and used in different trains, such as the Lark and Golden State. Some cars recieved Southern Pacific’s general service scheme of silver with a red band. These cars could be found in general passenger service until the advent of Amtrak.
