The Rio Grande’s T-12 Locomotives and the Return of the 168 covers the operational history of each of the Rio Grande’s twelve 4-6-0, T-12 passenger locomotives, placed in service in 1883 and 1884 on their narrow gauge routes.  And, the book specifically covers the restoration and return to service of No. 168 by the Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railroad.  The book includes historic photographs and many images covering the restoration to operation.  There is a two-page color foldout that shows the engine ‘backhead’.
