First thoughts were: It’s awesome that Train Life recognized the significance of Pelle’s layout for inspiration & the magical combination of materials used. As a former professional model builder in Houston, people need inspiration to keep them going and have a goal to strive for.
As a model railroader of over 35 years, on my 3rd layout, I need Pelle’s work to push me further for “that look” that is so realistic. I think Train Life hit the ball out of the park for going all in to save this layout & now you have made inspiration an easy trip to Provo. Is Provo now on my bucket list? You bet! The trestle legs Train Life built for the layout are simply incredible and definitely fitting for such a layout. My hat is off to a job very, very well done!
Can’t wait to see it one day!

Thanks TRAINLIFE for both saving this remarkable layout and for continuing to post updates on its new location and life.

Very interesting,He mentioned Modell Railroader magazine, that’s how i got started.A local hobbyshop by my house had numerous copies(must have been more than 200),for 50 cents a piece, and i would buy a whole bunch of them and look through them, just amazed at how realistic looking these train models looked. The Cover of the magazine always caught my eye. It’s too bad though Pelle won’t be producing anymore layouts,oh well there will be many more like him who will, like Lance Mindheim and others.
